A Case Study of a Meditaion Program Aroma Therapy : How Is Effective on Improving Depressed Women's Depression Level, stress, and well-being

Abstract
The study was conducted to examine the effect of the mindfulness meditation program based on aromatherapy on depression, stress and the psychological well-being of depressed women. An experimental group consists of 11 women and a control group consists of 11 women. they are selected from 22 marriaged women who belong in Busan S Woman Resources Development center. The mindfulness meditation program included aromatherapy for maximizing psychotherapeutic effect. The program was proceeded once a week for 60 minutes. It is carried out a total of 9 times. The inspections of depression, stress and the psychological well-being were used as an inspection tool and data was processed with SPSS/WIN 12.0 statistics software and a t-test to measure average difference between the two groups after the test. Results of the study showed that the experimental group was more effective on the reduction in depression, stress on and improvement in psychological tranquility than the control group. Therefore, this program can help depressed women recover their psychological tranquility. In the future, it is required how to develop the refined program for more effective treatment.
